1. Understand why effective communication is important in the work setting
1.1 Identify the opposite reasons people communicate

In my setting there maybe different communication needs such as English as a second actors line and therefore I may need a translator. A child may have a visual or hearing impairment so I may need to provide written substantive in larger print and the need for sign language maybe appropriate.
