The Beginning

When the conflict was announced the general attitude to fightds the war was superstar of euphoria. Well, atleast that is what was intended to be. For instance, in that respect were some young yet put up soldiers who were e advancer to fight in the war and had very petty doubts or so it. There were young men under the licit age to be fighting who lied about their age to be able to go to war. On the other kick the bucket in that respect were men who had no intention of going to war and would rather stay at home with their family trying to rid of all contact with the army. These were the type of men who Britain had trouble with. However, there were twain key solutions to this problem.

Recruitment

One of them was the idea that you could fight aboard your friends and relatives. This was called the Pals Battalions. This succeeded in many ways. For instance, you would be able to help one-another and sustentation for eachother aswell as talking about home and families whereas if you was to talk about this to a complete stranger he probably wouldnt bring forth the slightest interest. Also another reason was that there was participation spirit and the main idea of fighting together!
However, there were also some bad points to this solution.



One was that you would have to be your friend or relative die in war which also meant you could be distracted either by losing your windup ones or just simply not focusing on the task ahead by chattering away. It was also pervert to see your friends/relatives suffer as villages and towns would be losing their substantial generation keeping in mind approximately over two thirds of soldiers did not return home. Another way of recruitment was that posters would have been hung up for men to see and some were very impelling so the men would feel guilt upon them and join the army.

Pals Battalions
