The term ‘ gentlemans gentleman behaviour’ means the charge in which humans act. Influences on this behaviour include: inescapably and drives, culture and cultural diversity, and the effects of group structure. The structure of a cabaret can have a significant effect on the behaviour of humans. The ‘structure’ refers to the sections it is do up of and the relations between each section. A society usually has a surface structure and a undercover structure (an observable structure and an unobservable structure). Humans suffer differently depending on the structure of the group they are a instalment of. Lewin, Lippit and White of the University of Iowa found this in an experiment employ schoolboys at an after-school club. The boys were assigned to construct model aeroplanes and were divided up into three types of group. Some groups were democratic, some were domineering and some were individuation. In the democratic groups, every member had a say in how to undertake the task and the leader acted as a member of the group, giving any information that the group asked of him.



In the autocratic groups, the leader made every decision, which was told one step at a time, and remained aloof from the rest of the group. The laissez-faire groups were told to as they fortunate whilst the leader, though prepared to give any information, did nothing. As a result, the democratic groups proved the most productive, and with high morale. The autocratic groups became every aggressive (towards their leader and other group members), or apathetic. The laissez-faire groups became aggressive and almost no work was done. The boys swapped groups and the experiment was recurrent with the same results.
